Caught me with the first note.

This song starts epic and just keeps going. So much going on in the background, and absolutely ZERO static. Great job there my friend. About midway, it's rather strange, enjoyable, just different. Almost like a growl. And that solo! man that's wicked. Simple, but wicked. Feels a bit short though. IT ends well, just a minute and a half too early. Great job mate. I love the feel of this song. A brisk pace, with dead sprints and some break-dancing thrown in between. Bloody brilliant this one is.

Thanks for the review. Im glad you said that there werent any static since i worked hard at the mixing to avoide clipping. Thanks for that noticing cheers!

Nice intro.

I love the progression in your intro. It's a fun pattern I've never heard put quite like that. Then the choir joining in, and the heavy drum. Beautiful. Slow, but strong. Second run, higher volume.
Ah, this time I notice the volume on the right speaker. Nice touch, kinda like walking by some dark carnival, and the sound catches the attention of the ear facing it, but until it changes, you don't turn to face it. Nice, stylish hook. I really enjoyed it. Here's to more from you in the future. *Raises glass*.

thats a very interesting scene you've created there, i like it! thanks for the review, and thanks for listening!

Good morning to you durn.

Great song. It is what it says it is. It's a "Good Morning World, guess who woke up on the right side of the bed today?" Waking up to this is a definite must. Lol. Always a good idea to wake up to happy music. IT's not an inspirational piece, or a dramatic one. It's a greeting, and a darn good one at that.

durn responds:

Good morning to you too, crimson! :)

Hahah, yes, yes I have been waking up in a good mood these past few weeks. Weather's too nice to stay in bed so I gave myself somethin' refreshing to wake up to so I'm not such a lazy bum! :D

Thanks for the listen and review, dude!

Hey! Two edited tankmen in a row!

I loved this song. It's been a while since I've gone to Newgrounds on a regular basis, and I had forgotten the raw talent this site has. Thanks for bringing me back mate. I like the in and out, kinda inspires a timekeeping nod. I think you could have worked more on the in and out with a left and right fade as well. Other than that, great song. Try to work on the left and right speaker next time, and this run will take the amps to 11.

IceMasterDlux responds:

Wow, thank you a ton! That really makes me very honored to hear. I appreciate reviews like this. I'll have to work on the things you mentioned. Thanks a lot for the kind review, man, it means a lot to me. God bless!

Fantastic

Honestly, it's a great song. Interesting, but not overdone, and dynamic. Not just the same things looped over and over again, but rather, a consistent beat, with soloing over the top. Great job mate.

durn responds:

:) thanks crimson. glad the effort didn't go unnoticed! :D

...

Well, the actual instrumental was pretty good. I couldn't stand the vocals. It sounds alright, but its a bit off with the lyrics. Its not the words (though I don't enjoy children burning) it's the sound of the vocals through the song. The song is pretty good until about the mid-point. Then it just gets irritating. The little high pitched squealing in the background screaming something unintelligible is really irritating.

You just analysed the worst song ever made. It is not a song. A guy sang a stupid, 12 second long vocal during class at school, I sent it to some friends, we worked a bit, this happened. It is not music, it is a prank - one that people like.

...Wow...

Wow...
Just Wow...
Amazing, simple, artistic, beautiful, mellow, engaging, original.
I have never heard anything like this, ever. It is incredibly simple in design, but it has a power not found in most simple melodies. I found on the second run of this song, it sounds more complex than the last time. It takes an amazing amount of luck or talent to get the strings soo perfect. My bets on your talent. The vocals weren't distracting, the synth goes perfectly from light to powerful. Amazing work, its a truly open ended piece in terms of the genre it could be in. I love works like that, soo groundbreaking that they could be placed anywhere and called one genre or another, but shouldn't be. This is a new type of music to me, and I'm not sure what it will become, but it's amazing.

NemesisTheory responds:

Never? I'm sure I heard it a bunch of times before, E.S. Posthumus especially blends chorus well with rock, they are really amazing. if you dont know them do check them out :)

I'm really glad you liked it, and again, if you like this sort of stuff, E.S. Posthumus!
Listen to them!! XD

Impressive

Aye. This was impressive. It is most certainly worth a 10. There was a rather odd part that I didn't quite enjoy as much as the rest of the song at 2:32-2:59. It kinda grated with the melody ye had, but other than that it was great. I especially loved the melody during 1:34 to the end of the song, and the soft synth thing at 1:40 rocked. Overall it rocked!!!

Mich responds:

Yeah, there might be some parts where I let down a bit.. :p
But thanks for the nice score, and for enjoying! =D

Pretty good.

I kinda liked it. Its great. And especially for a first try. Although i do have a question... How did you get so many different notes sustaining over one another without any static? My FL keeps doing that and all I never have more than three piano notes going over each other at once. Is there anything to fix that?

Mich responds:

Thanks! =)
I guess it's just leveling everything, so everything added together doesn't cross the 0.0db mark. Try playing with your volumes a bit.
Thanks for the review!
