Brilliant

This is the hidden message behind nyancat.

This is a hilarious video, and I'm glad you kept expanding it. Interested to know the story behind it though.

Creative

Not much to say on this one, other than, "That was awesome". Got a good chuckle out of that one. Great job.

How can I say this...

Um... There is the ordinary, and then the truly extraordinary. You are the latter. There are imitation artists, and then there are true visionaries. Creating a masterpiece out of blotches of color is amazing. Expand your frame of reference to anything, and you can still perfect it. This isn't a simple picture, its a vision into the mind of a genius. That mind takes seemingly useless colors and shapes and combines them into a masterpiece. Well Done.

Great concept. Gamebreaking bug.

Ya know those spikes at the beginning? Above the house? Landing on one sometimes catches you in it, so you just keep spawning and dying on it. Meaning you have to start over completely. But other than that, the controls were clunky. But the concept was great!

It's shaky, but maybe a good idea?

First off, the music is perfect. It's powerful. Keep that up. But the "story" (this is what I'll refer to this as, because it's really an interactive story), is lacking in immersion. There is a way to make this deeply powerful. The storyline is a good start. Play the villain. But play not the evil villain, play the misunderstood. Think, imagine, be. Be a force of good taking a path down freak accident. Play the thief, supporting a family, in a job gone bad. Play the sandman, healing his daughter, stopping at nothing to get the money she needs. Learn, what true pain is, desperation, then eventually, the rise to greatness, as your Villain becomes the true hero, saving their love, and learning the value of morality.

This is the medium for this story. This is the story for this medium. Games need something powerful like this to drive them beyond the idle key-press. Find a gameplay that doesn't take away from this story. Give the ability to chose whether he goes left or right a meaning. don't make this game hard. Make it vague. Don't clearly define the controls. But don't make them random either, make them intuitive. Don't make this a puzzle platformer, bot don't make this as simple as it is now either. Look to "The Company of Myself" by "FreeAsANerd" for your story progression inspiration. However, look to "Coil" by "BlueBaby" and "Komix" for your presentation of both Storyline, Text, and controls. Make the challenge here understanding all the layers of pain, fear, and loss. Even these graphics can carry a strong message, so don't let that tie you down. Maybe work with somebody to code this, any can and will break the illusion.

And remember, above all else.
The show must go on...

Enjoyable

So first off, the transition at about 5:10 was... Sudden. I really enjoy the song, and the various themes are great to just relax to. I enjoy how much is going on because it's not chaotic, it's harmonious. I loved all of it so it's hard to focus on a particular part I liked more than the others. You already mentioned the volume thing, but you may want to tweak the stock piano a bit. I personally think this would sound much better on a concert piano with a slight echo, especially because this is mostly just the piano. I do enjoy how rich the piano sounds though, I just think the slight echo of a concert hall would do wonders for this. Other than that, I've got nothing. It's a great song, and I'm going to look at your other compositions. Great job mate!

Loved it

So first off, the song is amazing. Everything is perfectly balanced. The tones are rich, and the intricacy is incredible. I especially love those personal liberties you took, adding an extra rapid few notes to the solos here and there. I can't remember if they were in the original, but this is a fast song and you made it feel a hundred times faster. I love how everything comes together to emphasize the most intense moments in the song.

One of my favorite parts of the song is 1:13. Everything comes together for a nice break. Everything sounds great, but the song is so intense my ears need a break right about there, and it's a perfect fit.

And just so you know, I didn't notice any unfinished notes in the solos this time :-P.

Great job mate! I'd leave a more critical review, but I'm not a good enough musician to notice any mistakes here. Hope to hear more from you soon.

Wow.

Catchy is the right word. It's got a classic techno rhythm, a simple treble, and a wickedly ragged bass. And the mastering is INCREDIBLE. I've got this thing on max volume on my headphones. Absolutely no static. Something about this song seems live, rather than something in a recording. At least until the piano solo, then it takes a brief interlude into the world of too pitch perfect to feel live. I can't tell what that sound is in the background. But part of me thinks it's what makes it feel live. I think it's just a combination of all the loudest notes fading out. The entire song makes me bob my head, and the percussion kicks with a subtle clap, rather than the stereotypical bass impact. The ending isn't my style, but it's still done well. No complaints here.

All and all, great song mate. Keep it up.

Even Better

This one is much closer to a perfect piece. Amazing detail, and amazing layout. Again, your depth is enthralling. The perspective here is the best I have seen out of the work I have seen from you. This is great.

Spectacular

I find this to be incredible. It has complexity and simplicity. But, like all your work, what takes my breath away is the depth. You have made an amazing field of view here, and it entertains the eye with the touches of color and the pleasing contrast of the sky. No it's not perfect, but this is close enough that I'm going to just call it at that.

Pretty Good

I personally find this to be a decent piece of art. It's not spectacular, but that's because I find it a bit bland on the color department. As a piece of art it is amazing. The depth is insane, and the detail isn't perfect, but it is pretty good. It just seems a bit, colorless. But it is your imagination, not mine.
